A Trust I Never Expected

Filed under: Archive — site admin @ 11:12 am

I’m sure you think this site is dead. Truth is, I’ve been cuh-RAZY busy with work, the wedding, the wedding website, and all that I haven’t even thought about this place. Sorry. I intend to make amends. Starting now.

Last night, Mandy and I had just just finished eating Chik-fil-a and were messing around on the couch. Not that kind of messing around. You see, I was trying to pull her socks off with my toes, and she was trying to kill me with whatever blunt object was nearest. It was a lot of fun.

Somewhere during the episode, I got a crazy idea in my head. I’m going to see how close to her eye I can put my finger before she blinks. I know. Crazy.

Here’s the cool part: she never blinked. Not even a little. While I’ve been pining about how sucky a dead-end job can be, how much work it is to make it to the wedding, how things will never be the same, how I’m finally growing up, we’ve fallen completely in love with each other. Somewhere along the way, we’ve gotten to the point that we completely trust each other. I always knew that kind of trust and love existed; I never thought I’d be fortunate enough to experience it. It’s more amazing than Spider Man.
