There's some sort of societal expectation that the girl WANTS to make a million phone calls a day to get all of the church/priest/preacher/photographer/reception site/caterer lined up. The sad thing is that the girl probably doesn't like making all of those time-consuming phone calls anymore than the guy does. So, you know, it could be worse.
