Wow, it’s already time for thanksgiving to creep up on us. Kinda scary; is it just me or has this year FLOWN by?
So, I went and saw the new Harry Potter, and it’s okay. It’s kinda weird, and not nearly as good as the book, but still worth going to see even if you didn’t really like the first ones. Hell, Mandy even liked it. It’s just packed to the brim with plot, and they don’t even cover half of what the book shows. Still pretty good though: lots of action and some funny parts. All in all I’d say it’s good to see, wouldn’t buy it unless you’re completing the Harry Potter series though.
Here’s a fun thing, if you’re in Midland, go see Harry Potter at the drive in. Sure it’s not as pretty looking or sounding, but it is a lot cheaper especially if you can get some people in the trunk. They had a great fireworks show the night Mandy and I went, which was totally worth the $5 apiece. Really cool stuff.

So, I’ve got a whole lot of work to do. Working hard at work on the projects, but they’re getting ever closer to completion. Should have a nice follow up tool by the end of the week. I’m working on getting it to interface with our mainframe application, and so far it’s working well. Should be fun.
More stuff up on the flickr site. That things awfully adictive.
Oh as for the title, I’ve decided it’s about time to upgrade again. I think I’ll be moving to Typo, a RoR blog engine. WordPress has done well, but I want a whole lot more than it can offer right now, and Typo’s supposed to have some cool flickr plugins. But with that, I’ll be designing a new version of this website, which will undoubtedly take some time. Could be a while before it gets up and running as clean as I’ll want it, but I’ll keep you posted on how it’s coming.

I finally got it. The camera for which I have so patiently waited. The Nikon D50 digital SLR. I love it.
I’ve been looking at getting a DSLR for months now, I was going to save up and buy one, but conveniently, I had my 20th birthday this tuesday (thanks, Jess, for remembering) and the BEST parents in the whole world. They bought me the camera and I’ve taken almost 200 pictures with it. It soooooooo rocks.
Also, I’ll be going to Florida tomorrow. Meeting the Parents, brother, uncle and aunt for a concert in the Lakeland area. Should be tons of fun. I’ll very likely be taking a whole bunch of pictures and you may just get a few posted here, but I’ll probably just put together a Flickr account and start posting there. We’ll see.
